REEF

  • Design:   Rob Ley
  • Photography and Video:   Urbana Studios
  • My Role:   Video Editing and Relocation

While working with Rob Ley of Urbana Studios I assisted with an existing project that was originally Commissioned by the Storefront for Art and Architecture

In collaboration with Joshua Stein, Rob created Reef to investigate the role that emerging material technology can play in the sensitive reprogramming of architectural and public space. Shape Memory Alloys (SMAs), a category of metals that change shape according to temperature, offer the possibility of efficient, fluid movement without the mechanized motion of earlier technologies.

I assisted with the re-location of this installation to Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, VA as well as editing work on the walk thru video.
